Steps to Reinstall Chipset Drivers

Find your motherboard details by opening your computer and checking the model number on the board itself. Alternatively, access System Information via the search bar to find the Baseboard Product line. Record the model information carefully, including any revision numbers.

Visit Manufacturer’s Website

Launch your preferred web browser and navigate to the website of your motherboard's manufacturer like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc. Look for sections labeled “Support” or “Downloads”.

Locate Your Specific Motherboard Model

Use the website’s search function or browse through filters to find your motherboard model. Ensure you access the driver section after landing on your model's page.

Download and Install Chipset Drivers

In the driver section of your motherboard model’s page, choose your operating system and download the available chipset drivers. Follow these steps to install:

  • Go to the downloads folder and run the setup file.
  • Allow the file to unzip if needed and follow the on-screen installation prompts.
  • Complete the installation and reboot your computer to apply changes.

Confirm Installation Success

Open Device Manager using Windows + X. Expand “System Devices” and check for any warnings next to chipset devices, which indicate problems.
